Amy's kids participated in the Southeastern Utah Junior Livestock show this summer. Mom is great to help. They learn great skills and responsibilities. The girls did Lambs and the boys did goats. A little hot but waiting the for judging.

It was great to have Great Grandpa come down

to the fairgrounds. Most of his travel around town is in his golf cart.

Conover is plenty busy with all his activities but wanted to participate as well.

Our Private Little (10,000 acre) Playground

We just don't get to see enough of Audrey and her family. When they come to visit, they pick what things they would like to do. There are certain things that we just love to do over and over. She picks and we love to do it with them. One of the activities was to go to our property in Nine Mile with the motorcycles and trailer. The bunks are a fun place to sleep and to have their own little place to hide out. Each child has taken to opportunity to at least mark one tree that is special to them. As time marches on.....the trees need to be modified!! Riding the Four Wheelers always seem to be a hit.

for his Birthday a few days later.

What is a campout without the traditional dutch oven food.

Thanks Grandma! Sure is fun to have a fire. The kids like to make sure there is always plenty of wood on it.

Same Pictures.... Different Year

I don't know if we are just predictable or the same things are just fun year after year after year. These are pictures of our recent trip to Powell with those that could be with us. Actually we went with Amy, Peter and their family. I have always said that there are lots of reason to love Powell. Playing in the sand is one of them. It got to be quite the project before we floated off Leaving it to some other guest of the day.

Summer Concert

Last night at the Peace Gardens Conover played with his Grandpa Smith. They were the enitre attraction for the evening. Lots of people were there with their lawn chairs and had a great time. Can't hardly believe all that is going on in Conovers life. Gone from a little kid to a Young Man in such a hurry. We love being where we can enjoy him. I took a couple of MPEGs and thought I would post them for those who could not see and hear the event.

Happy Birthday Dad

Came to work today and realized that it was Dads (Grandpa, etc) birthday. I couldn't help reflecting on the Store and how it started 61 years ago. We don't know about the veil and what it offers......but it is fun to speculate. I wonder if he is looking down. It has gone from what he developed.... to children.....on its way to Grandchildren and now...... a great grandchild working with us for the summer. How coooollll is that!!

Nothing Less than Amazing !!!

Mom and I learned when Amy was at a very young age. That the word "No" or You Can't" were not a part of Her vocabulary. It also seemed like her first words were "Do it Self". I remember like it was yesterday when Amy came in the house after receiving her Two wheel Bicycle. She said that she wanted the training wheels off. We told her No.... We did not want to be taking them off and then putting them back on again over and over. I'm still not sure where she found the tools, but it wasn't long after that she had removed them by herself. They never did go back on because she learned to ride without them just as she had set out to do. About three years ago she announced to us that she had applied and been accepted to the Master Program at the University of Utah. It hadn't been that long since Peter had finished the program and received his Masters. Not unlike Amy most of the time. She proceeded to apply herself in school.......then they decided to build a house.....I mean BUILD A HOUSE...then they decided to add to their family and along came Breeana. Most people would feel that to be a plate full. We are sooooo proud of Amy. She can do anything.
