Eventfull September for Peter

Pete had two of the tags for 9 mile this year. This bull was a result of the public draw. I would say that it was about time for Peter to draw out. That bad part is that he was alone when he took this Monster. He had passed up 4 other bulls during the day. He was at the mouth of 16 and had left the bike in the meadow and hiked up the hill to the south. Saw this bull just as it was getting dark. Made one clean shot from about 100yrds. The bull jumped and ran downhill about 20 yards and fell on the road of the switchback going to sheep canyon. Peter called me about 10 pm and said that he needed help. Left about 6 am the next morning to help load and get him out. It was sure a beautiful day. What a great place!! Yes....... it is getting mounted!! I gave Pete one of the family tags this year so that he would have the opportunity to shoot if the right thing came along. You know how that is.......See a great buck and you have a bull tag or you see a nice Bull and you have a Deer tag. The taxidermist is sure going to love us this year. Max playing his first year of tackle football. He is #20 involved in the tackle.

Conover is a part of Drumline this year at Carbon High. Makes for some interesting moments like the Homecoming Parade and needing to be on the float with the football team.

Kind of reminds me of the days carrying my heavy horn in the day.

We Have a DINO amongest us

Yesterday we were able to attend a Carbon High football game. Conover played in the game. It doesn't really seem real to have him attending MY High School. It was a real blast. Took these pictures from almost the top row of bleachers with new nice lens. If you blow them up you can maybe see better. His number is #49. He also has a yellow mouthpiece strap. Seemed be always in the action. Making sure to block out his man.

What a GREAT time in our Lives!! Catherine and I are trying to decided where to plant our feet. Two possibilities are on extreme ends of the State. The real funny part is that each can chip onto the golf course green from the back yard and we don't golf.

Oh.....what to do...... I am sure we will figure

it out pretty soon.

Back To Seattle

The end to a great vacation. Just hanging around before going to the airport. What a great traveling Partner!!

Ship was waiting for a load of grain the next morning Liked the picture as we headed out to sea. It is not a trip unless I catch Catherine coming out of the restroom. When a tree would come down. The would leave it to be what they called a Nursing tree. Made for some cool stuff. I had to do some real talking to get Brent and Edie to let me get this. Good Sports

Next time we will take this train. It looked like lots of fun to see the country.

Thought this was the radiator. Found it to be a snowblower to clear the track during the Gold Rush.

Sawyer Glacier......Priceless

4th Day......Juno Alaska

Taking a little time to shop the downtown stores. Off to our Adventure with the Zip Line.

Biggest smile of the day. I made it down to the solid ground.

Can you believe this......Catherine is repelling down off the platform... The only way down.

Catherine did not want to do this....She was a good sport. When it was all done. She had so much fun that she said she would like to do it again. Edie was planning the Brent on how they

could build one at home.

Smiles were coming as she got closer to the platform.

Josh was so at ease that he was taking a video while on the move.

Love the hard hats. Actually for most of us, they were nice because our heads would rub on the cable.

Two deep breaths and off we go.

Walking up to the place where the landings started. Nervous and a little under protest I think.

Plenty to keep us hooked up. Not to worry dear.

Beautiful little town. Kind of small for the Capital of Alaska.
