I was trying to clean up a few things on this post
before I published it and deleted this cute picture
of Savannah. Not sure how to put it back in order
so she moves to the top where she probably belongs.
This little kitten could come with me anytime.
Earlier in a Post, Megan challenged me that there surely
was more going on with the Steele's than my post, and to pick
it up. This is the answer to the challenge. Time slowed down
Enough to respond. Here goes.... in some sort of order (I Hope)
We started out the Spring...In April Audrey and
Brady flew out to Utah to interview with BYU.
We took the opportunity to meet them for dinner
while they were here. They received very lucrative
offers from BYU, Oregon and counter offers from
UA. We would have loved to have them back in Utah
but are confident that there decision to stay in Fayetteville
is the right choice. WAY TO FOLLOW THE SPIRIT!
Remodeled the Kitchen. Jacob helped
put in the new double oven after the
cabinets were done. Caden wasn't too
Jordan Graduated from USU and never spent
any time on Logan's Campus. He made history.
Working at the Store (Full Time) and Working on
School. He single handed changed my plans by
at least two years. April, they put me on a diet
and I only work two days a week. Wonder how
I ever got by when I had to work 5 and 6 days
a week before. THANKS BOYS!
Ava is not big enough to be in dancing but how
could you resist this little one bringing you a book
and wanting you to read to her. SOOO CUTE!
The star of the show. We traveled to Arkansas
in May to see everyone. Needless to say it was
to attend the dance review. We knew we would
see Kayla and Savannah perform. Brady is surrounded
by a house full of girls. I know he would love to
hunt, fish and camp with his kids, BUT he was
asked to be one of the few Fathers to perform
with his daughter. What a Stud and GOOD SPORT
Our Cute Kayla who just can't stop dancing anytime
Day at the Zoo.....a tradition in Tulsa just before
getting on the plane.
The Annual trip to Lake Powell with Amy, Peter
and their family when they have their houseboat.
We LOVE IT and the water weenie is always a
favorite. Getting ready for the ride
THRILLED to have Jessica and Cameron. They come
home about once a year and made this the one.
Not complaining because it is not like we don't see
them. They take their big Church callings seriously
and won't miss. WE LOVE THEIR DEDICATION.
Sand, Water and tools. What more could you ask for!
Reminds me back to when Brent was little.
Started with the shade in the sand... ended up
with it in the water. It was great to see the
Lake filling so much this year!
Audrey, Brady and their family came to Utah for work
and Play. We took the opportunity to get as many together
as possible during that time. They had not been to our new
place in Bear Lake, so they came straight from the airport
to the Chateau to get it started for a few days.
The kids have been a little afraid of the dogs
for awhile. Not anymore. The minute they went outside
it was straight to the dog kennel.
We spent a day at Minnetonka Cave to start it off
Jake has put some weight on.....most of it is on his
back. Amanda has also.....most on her front.
Oh ya.....Look there is dirt under the chairs.
Let's see how much we can get on us before
they find out.
Cool place....but you had to wait for over an hour
before you could go on the tour. Maybe the Holiday
Big guys took time to play a round of golf. Fun to
take picture and watch them from the deck of the
house. The little kids went down to watch and
had a ride in the carts the rest of the way.
Ava and Caden found some real quality time.
Bubble Blowing contest off the deck. Look how
far it will go....if I let it.
Nothing like a little shopping time....Even in Garden
City
We had a couple of great rides. Max got his License on
line while we were there. He worked really hard on it.
He stayed with Grandpa after other left and we had
a couple of special rides... just us on our Bikes. Had sooooo
much fun, I forgot to stop and take a picture.
Start of Logan Project.
Cameron's tool of choice.....At least at the beginning!
We had some unexpected water damage this summer which
resulted in a tear down and remodel that was not on the agenda.
Still ended up being rewarding and fun to do with Jessica and Cameron.
These are some before and after pictures of the project. The
carpet was laid the two days before the kids moved in for
the school year. Close but we made it.
The finished product after a summer long Project,
Jessica and Cameron were the demolition experts.
Thanks to them, we got started.
The bathroom was a real experience. After removing
the multiple layers of floor, we were left with a cast iron
drain pipe to cut off to level. Brent always has the answer.
Don't know what I would do without him.
Cameron learned alot about take down and put back.
(Beside the engine on his bike). The tile floor turned out
GREAT Cameron. Thanks!
Why sooooo many layers. Many years I guess.
Getting under the toe kick to remove it flush
without taking out the cabinets was a real challenge.
Thanks to another great tool.
Know wonder the kids would say that it was cold in the
winter. Beside the water damage, we decided it was time to
do it right. Insulation and all.

Hooray for all the summer fun! This is much better. We remodeled my in-laws house over a period of 6 months. Holy cow. It was one of the hardest things we have ever done. . . So I think i can understand that a little. It looks great!
Wow Dad, I'm impressed. Loved the pictures of the kids at Bear Lake. I hadn't seen any of those. So funny of Ava and Caden. Super cute pictures we can use against them when they are teenagers. Great Job in Logan. I know that I can always count on you for a demolition/ remodel. Can't wait to have you guys here again. Love you guys
